Occasionally, a player's Clan Tags can disappear in-game or in the Mobile Companion App. For information on how to resolve this issue, please see below.
If the Clan Tag is not displaying in Destiny The "Repair Clan" function on Bungie.net can correct issues that are causing a player's clan tag to not display properly in game.
To use this feature, players should:
- Visit their clan page on Bungie.net. This feature currently does not work on the Companion Mobile App
- Click the "Interact" button
- Select the "Repair PlayStation/Xbox Clan" option from the menu
- Clicking the repair button should then update the player's clan name in Destiny.
If the Clan tag is not displaying on the Mobile Companion App Players may encounter issues with Clan Tags not displaying on Bungie.net or the Companion Mobile App. This is usually due to a common conflict of privacy settings if the player has configured their privacy settings to hide their PSN ID or Gamertag and the clan’s membership is set to require approval.
To resolve this issue, players can:
- Set their PlayStation Network / Xbox Live tags to publicly visible.
Go to the Bungie.net Legend page, and go to Settings
Go to Linked Accounts and make sure "display on public profile" is check-marked on the desired account - Leave the clan (players can stay in the group)
- Request membership into the clan again
- Keep their tag(s) public until they are let into the clan.
- Once approved, they can revert their settings back to private if they wish
If players are uneasy about making their tag public, an alternative fix is to communicate with the clan admins to make clan membership "open" long enough for them to join without needing admin approval.
